Valentine’s Day, is the perfect opportunity to confess your love to the person for whom you have special feelings in your heart. It is also the perfect time to show your love to that person by doing something special, something out of the ordinary. The whole week of Valentine’s Day comes with a sense of appreciation, inspiration, and energy for people around the world!
"Love has nothing to do with what you are expecting to get–only with what you are expecting to give–which is everything.” – Katharine Hepburn
When being away from the person that you love on that special day, how can you show your love, affection and share the Valentine’s Day magic? The truth is, what you do on Valentine’s Day matters less than celebrating it in your own unique and special way, and that's true even for couples who do get to be physically together on that day. The thought is what truly counts and there’s no wrong way to celebrate. We will share a few ideas with you so that you can feel the love on Valentine’s Day!
Make a photo spread of all your favorite memories.
Think of anything that reminds you of them! This could be photos, quotes, favorites movies or places and create a collage that you can hold onto but also share it with them via FaceTime.
Write in a journal for a few days days.
Document all your thoughts, how your day went, and what reminds you of your partner, and read it to them when you’ve filled up all the pages. This will give them insight into your thoughts and remind them of how often you think of them even though you may be apart.
Send a video message.
Whether you’re singing and dancing to your song or reading a heartfelt love note, sometimes it can be so much more intimate and lovely for your partner to see you and hear you on screen rather than reading your message themselves.
Be the first person they hear in the morning and the last person they hear at night.
Get up a little early on that day and call them first thing in the morning. It will be a sweet little surprise to wake up to. After your busy day, fall asleep talking on the phone at night so it almost feels like you’re right next to each other.
"Being deeply loved by someone gives you strength, while loving someone deeply gives you courage.” – Lao Tzu
We may often think of Valentine’s Day as a day that only couples get to celebrate but it is the perfect opportunity to show your love to anyone special in your life. The day dedicated to love is a day to show your love to your children, your friends, and your family. Make this Valentine’s Day a day to remember. Open your heart and express your love to the people you hold near and dear to your heart! Those who brighten up your days, those who make you smile when you simply of them, those who are always supporting you even if they may be miles and miles away.
